It all started with our love of Dogs.
At Nose to the Grind, Dogs are life.
Our training is designed to create a lasting relationship, built on trust and mutual respect, between handler and dog.
Our foundation is positive reinforcement based, with a big emphasis on FUN! Our training is a balanced, "fusion" style, that teaches clear communication, how to work through stress and how to correct unwanted behavior. We specialize in starting puppies off right, improving overall human/dog relationships and rehabilitating even the most severely reactive dogs.
The goal for our companion dog and reactive rehab clients, is to have a reliable dog, who can go anywhere and do everything with their family! Having trustworthy family dogs is SO important and able to be achieved with the right training and information.
The goal for our competition dog clients, is to have dogs who excel in their field and look amazing doing it! We strive for strong handler engagement, true understanding of behaviors and patterns, and a dog who reliably performs even under high levels of stress!
MEET THE TRAINER
Ryan Fry
Lead Trainer/Owner
After welcoming his first working German Shepherd into his home, Ryan soon discovered his passion for canine educational development. Ryan has been an apprentice Professional Dog Trainer since 2018, and has been a sport dog trainer/handler since 2017.
Ryan has been specializing in Reactive Dog Rehabilitation and Competitive Sport Dog Training. He has devoted himself full-time to his continued education in dog training, handling and as a Protection Sport helper.
Ryan has trained/competed in IGP, Obedience and Rally-O (AKC), Nosework and WDA (Working Dogs of America) dog sport venues.
